The pitch from the ex major leaguer split the ribbon and the newest Connecticut Baseball Academy was officially open. Former Berlin High School pitcher "Goose" Gozzo, the academy's newest instructor, and Dan Kennedy, director of baseball operations, hosted a group of well wishers earlier this week.
